Airborne Snow Observatories (“ASO,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy and are committed to protecting it by complying with this privacy notice (“Privacy Notice”). ASO provides certain services for snow and water resource management generally consisting of collecting data and measurements of snowpack, snow water equivalents, snow albedo, and other geophysical characterizations using airborne measurement and remote sensing techniques to prepare snow density and snowmelt runoff reports, models, and estimates for snow and water resource management and research purposes. This Privacy Notice describes: the type of information we may collect; who we may collect it from; and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information when you visit our website https://airbornesnowobservatories.com/ (“Site”) or in connection with the services available on the Site (collectively, the “Offerings”).

7.1 STORAGE LOCATION.

Information may be held at our offices, third party agencies, service providers, representatives, and agent location that assists with providing Offerings to you.

7.2 STORAGE CADENCE.

We may retain your information for as long as we need it to provide you with the Offerings. If you ask us to delete your information, or if you delete your account with us, there may be some latency in deleting your information from our servers and back-up storage, and some information may not be completely removed from our logs and other records. In addition, we may retain your information if it is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

When we process information, we determine the retention period taking into account various criteria, such as the type of Offerings provided to you, the nature and length of our relationship with you, the impact on our Offerings we provide to you if we delete some information from or about you, and mandatory retention periods provided by law.

8.2 TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES.

You can set your browser to refuse all or some automatic tracking technologies to alert you when certain automatic tracking technologies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Offerings may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

We cannot delete all of your information unless we also delete your account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement, or cause the information to be incorrect.

9. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18.

Our service is not intended for children under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to the Offerings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information on the Offerings or on or through any of its features, nor register on the Offerings, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or username you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
